Standard Format Basic Rules
Deck must contain exactly 60 cards, with at least one Basic Pokémon.
No more than 4 copies of any card with the same name in your deck (basic Energy cards are exceptions).
Cards must be legal for Standard: a card’s regulation mark must be current.

Only current legal sets/cards may be used; cards from rotating-out sets are no longer valid once rotation is effective.
A match uses 6 Prize cards (take them when you Knock Out opponent’s Pokémon) and standard win conditions (take all Prizes, opponent can’t draw, etc.)

Limited Formats
Sealed Deck Format Basic Rules
Decks must be exactly 40 cards, with at least one Basic Pokémon.
Players receive a Build & Battle Box which includes a 40-card ready-to-play deck + 4 Booster Packs to supplement with cards from the prerelease set.
Win conditions use 4 Prize cards instead of the usual 6.
There is no 4-copy limit, you may include as many copies of the same card as you pull.
Only current legal sets/cards may be used; cards from rotating-out sets are no longer valid once rotation is effective.
